Windcrest/Universal City
The Windcrest/Universal City area offers everything you and your family could need in your new town. From great housing developments and local amenities to award-winning school districts and educational opportunities, this community has it all.

Specifically, Windcrest/Universal City offers:

·      Good school districts—Three great school districts serve the Universal City and Windcrest area: North East ISD, Judson ISD and Schertz-Cibolo ISD. Both North East and Schertz-Cibolo received the Texas Education Agency’s “Recognized” status in the most recent ratings period. Judson received an “Academically Acceptable” one.

·      Reasonable distances to JBSA bases—Both Universal and Windcrest are practical driving distances to Lackland, Randolph and Fort Sam. So no matter which JBSA base you’re stationed at, you don’t have to worry about long commutes.

·      Numerous amenities—Windcrest and Universal City both offer a variety of amenities to local residents. In Windcrest, you’ll find a civic center, community organizations and clubs, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Little League and even a farmers’ market. In Universal City, residents can enjoy a free public library, a golf course, parks, a flea market and community events like the Parent-Child Golf Classic, the National Night Out, the Heroes Walk and more. Both cities also offer a parks and recreation department.
